Scott McTominay
For the first time in a long while, Celtic were busy in the transfer market. The serial Scottish champions haven’t had things the usual way this term with Rangers and Kilmarnock posing serious threat.

Following the Old Firm Derby defeat to Steven Gerrard’s men, Celtic with 42 points, are tied with their rivals – Kilmarnock just one point away.

To keep the momentum, the Bhoys is aiming for serious reinforcement, especially in central midfield.  Manchester United star, Scott McTominay, tops the club’s wish list.

According to Scottish Daily Mail, Brendan Rodgers is eyeing a loan switch for the Scotsman.

The Mail even reported that McTominay “is likely to be farmed out” if Fellaini stays put, with Celtic “among a number of clubs on both sides of the border monitoring his situation”.

That should sound as good news to Celtic faithful. According to reports, McTominay’s proposed move is tied to Fellaini’s future.

It is being speculated that the departure of the Belgian would signal the end of any switch for McTominay and vice versa.

The Bhoys will be hoping the ex-Everton midfielder stays put to facilitate their own potential signing.

McTominay may be only 22 but would come with loads of Premier League experience.

A regular under Jose Mourinho, the youngster has made 33 first-team appearances for United since breaking into their senior set-up, eight of which have come this season.

A natural central midfielder, McTominay is composed and authoritative, demonstrating remarkable ball distribution and retention traits.

He has extra fuel to burn and could go all the way out to hit that odd goal.
