Daniel Sturridge
Everton have returned to the transfer market space for a striker in another attempt to replace Romelu Lukaku.

Cenk Tosun was a product of the last winter business. However, Lukaku’s obvious colossal shoe sizes proved too mighty for the Turkish international.

Richarlison and youngster Dominic Calvert-Lewin has stepped in occasionally. Although the pair have produced the goods, they came in patches.

Marco Silva is hoping to bring in another poacher and if the latest reports are anything to go by then Daniel Sturridge could be that man.

According to the Sun, the Englishman is nearing an exit from Liverpool.  The newspaper also claims that New York City, West Ham, Newcastle, and Southampton have also shown an interest in signing the 29-year-old, who is in the final six months of his contract at Anfield.

Sturridge wouldn’t mind a direct switch to a Merseyside rival having only earned two Premier League starts for the title contenders this season.

The quartet of Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Xherdan Shaqiri have been preferred. It is even being muttered that Jurgen Klopp is preparing to add a fifth attacker.

Sturridge’s game time will only get worse if that happens and the ex-Chelsea msn isn’t taking chances. The proposed deal will benefit both parties.

Sturridge is a seasoned Premier League and Champions League campaigner. He was part of the Blues’ squad that clinched the title under Roberto di Matteo.

He will bring loads of experience, exposure, and consistency lacking in the Toffees attack.

Although, prone to injury and a massive £120K-a-week wage, the Englishman will justify the bogus sum on the pitch.

He is desperate to relaunch his career which has taken a downward spiral in recent times. Everton have attacking options aplenty. The signing of Sturridge may be final piece that would bring the entire attack together.
