Manchester United are interested in signing Manchester City outcast Yaya Toure, according to reports from Sky Sports (via M.E.N).

According to the report, Toure’s agent Dimitri Sulek has spoken with Sky Sports and confirmed that the 33-year-old Ivorian will look to sign a pre-contract in January and he has several offers from China, MLS and surprisingly from the Premier League as well.

Sulek confirmed that Manchester United and Arsenal have approached to sign the Ivorian midfielder but the move is unlikely to happen as the player does not want to stay in England.

Seluk even took a dig at Pep Guardiola claiming that his client is in perfect condition but that is somehow not enough for the newly appointed Manchester City manager. Seluk is certain of Toure signing for a new club next summer when his current Man City contract comes to an end.

Seluk said: “Yaya in January can sign a pre-contract agreement with clubs abroad,”

“He is in very good shape, very good condition, I think he lost seven kilograms.

“Maybe that’s not good enough for Guardiola, but then Zlatan Ibrahimovic wasn’t good enough for him (at Barcelona)”

Toure’s exit looks more than likely after he was left out of Manchester City’s Champions League squad by Guardiola despite playing an instrumental role in both of City’s title wins in recent seasons.

According to Sky Sports, Toure is most likely to join MLS after Roberto Mancini was sacked as the Inter Milan manager. However, it will be interesting to see if Man United or Arsenal come forward with an offer for the Man City star and what will be the reaction from Toure and Pep Guardiola.
