Looks like Sergio Aguero’s Manchester City horrors are creating more noise than actual reality in the whole saga after Arsenal legend Ian Wright urged Arsene Wenger to sign the Argentine striker if the opportunity presents itself.
Speaking more in hope than reality, Wright claimed that Arsenal will win the league if Wenger manages to sign Aguero in the upcoming transfer windows.
The Argentine’s future at Manchester City has been called into question after he was benched for the club’s key Champions League clash with Barcelona earlier this month.
Despite Pep Guardiola asking Aguero to stay at City for a long time, Spaniard manager has kept the option open for Aguero to quit Etihad if he wants to.
Citing that as an opportunity, Wright suggested Wenger: ‘What I would like to happen is that Pep continues to mess around with Aguero and then Arsenal buy him. And then we just win the league off the back of that, simple as that.’
Aguero is one of the best strikers to have played in Premier League and he would make any team a title favorite but having seen Arsenal’s approach in recent seasons, one has to be very optimistic about seeing the little Argentine dawn Arsenal’s jersey.
