Arsenal have long been linked with Thomas Lemar and Riyad Mahrez but things have not looked like those move is close to materialise. With Wenger known for grooming young players, he’s in for Man City youngster Jadon Sancho. Reports suggest that the Gunners are in pole position to sign the 17-years-old.
The skillful youngster caught the attention of top clubs in back in 2015 when he was in action for Watford but City was the first to act by signing him in 2015.
According to the Sun, the teenager is not willing to sign a new contract with the Citizen after he refused to sign a new deal worth £30,000-a-week, and Arsenal are looking like his most probable destination.
Jadon have been attracting interest from other top clubs with Tottenham, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig all on his chase. However, he is unwilling to leave England and Arsenal look like the most likely destination.
Jadon is yet to make his senior debut at City but will be in line to achieve that this season. Speaking to the Sun about the player’s move, a source in Etihad said:“The club is worried Arsenal are front runners for Jadon as he has a soft spot for them.
His family think he might get a quicker path to first-team action at either Arsenal or Spurs. One of his heroes is ironically Alexis Sanchez. It’s proving difficult to get him to sign his first professional contract here.”
