Celtic are reported ‘seriously interested’ in signing Jordan Ayew from Swansea City this summer.
According to a report by the Daily Record, a close acquaintance of the striker has confirmed interest from the Scottish champions.
Ayew is set for the exit doors at Swansea following their relegation to the Championship.
Liverpool has also been credited with an interest, but it is unclear how genuine their interest is.
Nana Oduro Sarfo, a close friend of the player and director of football for Ghanaian club Berekum Chelsea, claims that the Hoops are very much interested in the player.
“Jordan has had offers from several clubs after Swansea City’s relegation last season. He will surely not play in the Championship with them.
“Liverpool has shown interest in him but Scottish side Celtic and their coach seem to be serious with their interest. I believe he may go to Scotland looking at how events are unfolding since they want to meet every demand”.
Welcome to Celtic. A good players.

Celtic will be aware that they could strike a cheap deal following the Swans’ demotion to the second tier.
Ayew could be lured down to Parkhead with the availability of Champions League football.
Odsonne Edouard continues to be linked with a permanent move to Celtic and Ayew could be seen as an alternative to the French striker.
