Before Danny’s introduction, Leicester had taken the lead from Jamie Vardy’s 19th League goal of the season. Arsenal pulled one back from The Walcott, before Welbeck went from being That Guy (Welbeck’s nick-name) to a great guy.

And yes, there was a Manchester United angle to all of this as well. A lot of eye brows were raised when Louis Van Gaal decided to sell Welbeck last season and that too to their direct rivals.

Fans had ridiculed the decision back then, with Rio Ferdinand being the most furious with his decision. As Danny returned to action with an astonishing goal, Ferdinand tweeted his reaction to all of this, take a look:

With his goal, Welbeck has taken Arsenal to within 2 points of Leicester City at the top of Premier League table. What a huge difference, one goal can make. Seconds before Welbeck’s goal, Gunners were 5 points behind the Foxes but as it went in, difference came to with 2 points only.

Leicester put up a great fight, and perhaps once could argue that the result was unfair on them specially after how they fought with 10-men right till the very end.
