There was no denying Manchester United looked hopelessly short on options and had no clue what hit them in second half at Stadium of Light. After ending the first half strongly, Sunderland were possessed to win the game and scored a late winner.
As expected, rather than giving Sunderland the credit for this win, Manchester United’s performance was over-analyzed by the fans. As per United fans, their weekly #VanGaalOut rant got even louder as they want the Dutchman out with immediate effect.
The fact that Jose Mourinho has been linked heavily with a move to United, Van Gaal’s popularity has diminished even further. He seems to have no way out of this situation, and no matter how much he tries to play with words, his position with the fans has been compromised.

We are yet to hear from United’s camp, and regardless of all the hot headed rumours, it is almost certain that Van Gaal will see out this season and any change will only take place next season.
