Chelsea new signing Alvaro Morata can’t wait to play in his first competitive match for Chelsea when the season starts. The Spanish striker joined from Real Madrid after he was not able to guaranty a first team shirt at the Benabeau.

Morata have been training with the squad as he made his debut in a game against Bayern Munich which Chelsea lost 3-2.

Morata have been in great form with his new club as he is seen scoring a direct corner kick in training and Chelsea fans will be hoping he can replicate that when the season start.

The 24-years-old who holds the record of the most expensive Spanish player and Chelsea most expensive player in a deal worth £70m. He will be under immense pressure to justify the price tag over his head.

Morata has scored 40 goals since making his debut in 2010 for Real Madrid, with him returning 15 goals last season despite starting most of the games from the bench.

Chelsea next game will be in the community shield on August 6 at Wembley and Morata is expected to make his debut in the game. Chelsea will be playing in the champions league next season, so Morata will have enough opportunity to show Real Madrid what they will be missing.
