It’s over to Spurs now to keep the title race alive

For the second week in a row Tottenham will have to chase down an 8-point gap after Leicester won their game vs Swansea at the weekend.

Despite missing Jamie Vardy through suspension, Leicester disposed Swansea with a 4-0 scoreline which saw Riyad Mahrez, Leo Ulloa (2) and Marc Albrighton get on the score sheet.

Tottenham for their part have been doing their best in hunting Leicester down but the gap at the top does not seem to get any lesser.

Pressure of going second has not bothered Maurico Pochettino’s men as they battered Stoke 4-0 the last time around.

Spurs would be hopeful for a similar performance tonight when they take on West Brom, who have very little to play for this season.

Pochettino would ideally want a win for his team and hope for a favor from Manchester United when they take on Leicester next weekend.

United have been on a run of their own and would fancy their chances against Leicester, who could be without Jamie Vardy pending on the verdict from his FA’s charges.

Tottenham could cut the gap to 2 points by next weekend but for that they would need a result against West Brom tonight.

Leicester laid down the marker last night with an emphatic win and asked Spurs if they have it in them to keep chasing down their Premier League title. Now it is up to Tottenham to prove their title credentials.

As per the calculations, if Spurs fail to win tonight then Leicester can win the Premier League next weekend when they take on Manchester United.

So it is down to Tottenham to keep the title race alive or else Leicester will be crowned as the Champions, which has seemed a possibility for last few months now.
