The Hoops will be hoping to win the treble once again next season, as they continue to reign over every other contenders in the Scottish Premiership. The Scottish champions were handed a major boost in their pursuit of a potential summer signing recently, as according to reported target Abel Hernandez’s personal twitter account, the Uruguayan will depart Hull City.

Abel Hernandez recently revealed on Twitter that he will be leaving as a free agent this summer after failing to agree a new contract.

The striker managed to find the net eight times in 10 games this season, and it will prove to be his last campaign with the English club, with Celtic being one of several clubs that have been linked with the forward.

And, with Moussa Dembele often struggling to hold the ball up all alone at the centre of the attack, perhaps Celtic will consider partnering him with the South American next season.

There’s no doubt that Abel Hernandez is a priority for Brendan Rodgers, as th 27-year-old would be of great assistance to Dembele at the pinnacle of the attack, while posing an attaking threat of his own, and the striker could also be the one to help them solve the Champions League crisis, as Celtic have struggled to survive in the European tournament.
