Arsenal and injuries are still walking hand-in-hand. According to reports, Thomas Rosicky has suffered a fresh injury blow in his bid to return to action. The news was also confirmed by the manager Arsene Wenger.

After Alexis Sanchez and Francis Coquelin returned from their injuries, it looked like Gunners had finally got rid of ever-present injury concerns. However, with Rosicky set to be out for a long time has dampened the spirit at Emirates.

Confirming Rosicky’s injury, Wenger said“It’s too early. The only thing we know is that it’s a bad muscular injury that will keep him out for a long time.

“The good news is that he will apparently not need surgery as it is a partial rupture of his tendon but how long it takes, [whether] it is two months or three months, we don’t know.

“We are all shocked and he is the most shocked and we have to patient and hope that it is not his last game.”

Rosicky to quit Arsenal in the summer

It is widely believed that the former Dortmund star is expected to quit the club in the summer and it would be nothing short of a miracle to see him play for Arsenal before his Emirates exit.

Gunners are currently 4th in the table and are battling Leicester and Manchester City for the illusive Premier League trophy. They take on Bournemouth later today where a win is must for Arsene Wenger and his side.
