Brendan Rodgers has again maintained he may not be able to give both Scot Alaan and Ryan Christie as many opportunities as thy desired for first team football, even though he thinks they are very talented.
In a perfect world, the Irishman would like to retain them and use them whenever he needs them but he knows both players are desperate to be a regular feature in first-team football and that would most likely see them seek a greener pasture.
“They are players who have been playing regularly elsewhere and both can come in and be part of a Celtic squad,” said Rodgers
“Ryan and Scott both have big talents. But can I give them the game time they want?
“That’s the only question mark and that’s a conversation we’ll have.”
Christie is more hopeful of making the breakthrough with the Hoops while Scott Allan has lost hope of redemption and desires a move this summer.
Speaking a few months back he revealed to the Hibs fans he would love to sign on a permanent basis after his loan deal expired. The clubs have yet to come to an agreement on that.
There is a lot of contention in that attacking midfield are and it will be hard for anyone out of form to keep a place in the side. Scott Sinclair hasn’t even got a first-team spot at the moment.
