Man of the Match – Tough one to call this, but the impact Wahbi Khazri had for his side tonight tempted me to go with him for this honor. Khazri was January transfer window’s most expansive signing and he is beginning to show us why.

His involvement in the late draw against Liverpool was evident and his free kick goal and the massive contribution in guiding his side to a massive home win must have made him a firm favorite among Black Cats fans.

The result had contrasting impact on both the teams involved tonight. Man United have now lost ground in their top 4 pursuit. As for Sunderland, they have moved up to 18th in the league and have been given a new hope to pull off yet another great escape.
