Though Jose Mourinho is making progress in the transfer market, keeping some of his key players may be his undoing this summer.

Wayne Rooney and Zlatan Ibrahimovic have already departed the club and as per the latest reports goalkeeper David De Gea could be on his way out of the club as well as.

The Spain international has reportedly told Mourinho of his intention to join Real Madrid this summer.

The United’s shot-stopper has been on the radar of the Spanish giants in the last few seasons following the departure of Iker Casillas from the club. De Gea almost moved to the Santiago Bernabeu last season but for a last minute hitch which made him return to Old Trafford and signed a contract extension.

And as per reports credited to Don Balon, Real Madrid have renewed their interests in the 26-year-old, with Florentino Perez keen on bringing him to the club this summer.

According to the source, De Gea has told his agent Jorge Mendes to start negotiations as regards the transfer.

De Gea played a key role in United’s winning of the EFL Cup and the Europa League with his saves and it is not certain if Mourinho will wants to part with his first choice keeper.
