Chelsea’s impressive run of form continued with their 2-0 away win over Southampton with goals coming from Eden Hazard and Diego Costa.
Hazard opened the scoring for Antonio Conte’s side with a well-taken goal on the 6th-minute mark. Hazard has combined well with Diego Costa since playing in the 3-man defense and signs were there for a second goal from the away side.

Fraser Forster denied Costa just befoe half time but was helpless when Costa curled a shot from outside the penalty box to leave the English keeper with no option but to pick the ball out of the net.
This was Costa’s 8th league goal of the season and 40th since joining Chelsea back in 2014. Only Sergio Aguero (57) and Harry Kane (48) have scored more in that time.

Costa’s strike settled the game for Chelsea who are now just 1 point behind Arsenal and Manchester City at the top of league table.
Southampton produced some attractive possession football and enjoyed periods of pressure but created very few clear chances in the first half.
Chelsea continue to look comfortable in their new 3-4-3 shape and Cesar Azpilicueta, David Luiz and Gary Cahill have adjusted quickly to their roles in the back-three and protected goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.
