Serie A Gameweek 9 was filled with action-packed football and a lot of incidences worth mentioning. Gameweek 9 full time results saw the perineal forces of Juventus AC Milan, Napoli and AS Roma coming out as victorious, while Inter Milan continued their struggles as they could only manage a hard-fought draw.
Juventus overpowered Atlanta with a clinical 2-0 win with goals from Paulo Dybala and Mario Mandzukic. Like Juventus, AC Milan had their two new strikers on scoresheet with Carlos Bacca and Luis Adriano scoring the vital goals. As for AS Roma, former Chelsea man Salah and former Arsenal star Gervinho scored the goals. Salah saw a red card later on in the game.
Inter Milan, for all their summer spending have failed to impress this season. Their football is largely boring and chance creation is one of the worse in league. After getting a hard earned draw against Juventus, they should have backed it up with a win against Palermo. Instead, they got a 1-1 draw and had Murillo sent off.
AS Roma lead the way after Gameweek 9 as they top Serie A table with 20 points. Closely following them are Napoli with 18 points along with Fiorentina and Inter Milan. Meanwhile, AC Milan (10th) and Juventus (12th) are making their way up league table as they look to turn around their season.
As for the relegation battle, Bologna, Hellas Verona and Carpi remain in the dreaded bottom 3 position. Bologna won against Carpi to win a crucial six-pointer and will hope to build on that result to pull themselves out of trouble in coming weeks.
