Manchester United have been given a boost in their pursuit to sign Romelu Lukaku in the summer after Everton striker’s dad came out suggesting teams his son should join next season.

The revelation has been made by Roger (Lukaku’s dad) while speaking in an interview with HLN Sports in Belgium. Lukaku has scored 25 goals this season and has almost outgrown Everton which could see him move elsewhere when the season ends.

According to Roger teams from Italy, Germany and England are after his son’s signature and even though his agent prefers him to join Serie A, Lukaku should only join either Bayern Munich or Manchester United.

Lukaku can easily command a transfer fee close to £40-50million given the form he has been in this season. The move would make perfect sense for Manchester United, who have struggled for goals from their forwards.

In Lukaku, United will have presence, power, speed and an obvious goal-scoring threat which they have lacked since Sir Alex Ferguson retired and Robin Van Persie decided to go in his shell.

Another advantage Lukaku has is his age, he is just 22 right now and has enough Premier League experience to have a major influence on Manchester United’s performance next season and beyond that.
