According to Parisunited.com, Brendan Rodgers promised Odsonne Edouard that he would take the Frenchman to Arsenal with him if he succeeded Arsene Wenger.
The website that boasts a large following regularly gives update on happenings at PSG and has posted the news of Edouard’s potential permanent move to Celtic.
However, they took the opportunity to comment on Arsenal Talk which does not look credible seeing as Rodgers never negotiated any deal that would take him to the Emirates.
Loosely translated, here is what they said.
Brendan Rodgers, the Celtics coach highly appreciates #Edouard. In contact with Arsenal, before the appointment of Unai #Emery, he told him that he would take it with him if he signed with the Gunners.
There is no doubt Rogers deeply admires Eddie, to the point he’s willing to break the club’s transfer record to get the striker on a full time basis.
This speculation does not sound genuine and looks rather bizarre.
