Chelsea to complete striker deal before the end of transfer window – Sky Sports

Chelsea striker Loic Remy is on his way to West Ham, according to reports from Sky Sports.

Hammers manager Slaven Bilic is keen to strengthen his forward line before the end of transfer window following injuries to Andre Ayew, Diafra Sakho and Andy Carroll.

Although Bilic’s preferred targets are Simone Zaza and Wilfried Bony but West Ham are pushing for a last minute deal to sign Remy on a season-long loan deal.

It has been a rather sad story for Remy while his time at Chelsea where he has failed to feature in any of the match day squads under Antonio Conte this season.

Remy could only manage 16 appearances (most of them from the bench) and just 1 goal last season and is eager to quit Stamford Bridge this summer.

Sky Sports sources understand that La Liga side Valencia are also in the run-in to sign Remy. however, the player is keen to stay in Premier League and continue his career.

Chelsea have so far not commented on the situation but have not ruled out the possibility of Remy’s exit from Stamford Bridge this summer.
