According to latest reports from The Sun, Reece Oxford has snubbed interest from Manchester United and Manchester City by committing his long-term future to West Ham.
The Sun claims that Oxford has signed a new 5-year deal which will be made public on player’s 18th birthday – this Friday.
Oxford was once touted as the next big thing of English football with both Manchester club vowing for his signature. However, lack of regular first team action and consistent performance have seen Oxford’s stocks fall which will now see the player stay at West Ham.
Oxford has been out of action since November with an ankle injury suffered in training, but the defender is expected to be drafted back into the first team squad when he’s fit and now a new contract has been signed.
