Thibaut Courtois looks certain to quit Chelsea next summer with Real Madrid lurking around for his signature. According to reports from AS and Marca, Courtois is far from settled in London and has been waiting to come back to Spain.
The rumour started couple of weeks ago when El Confidencial published a story stating Spain has always been a goal for Courtois as he has a house in Madrid while his girlfriend is also Spanish.
Since then, Courtois has gone on record to claim that he is not sure of his future at Chelsea and feels that the training level at Stamford Bridge is not the same as he has been used to with Atletcio Madrid and Belgium national side.
Speaking with RTBF, Courtois confessed that this is the first season in a long time where he has gone trophy less, something he prides on as a professional footballer. Speaking on his future, Courtois cited he has a contract with The Blues but he cannot say anything else at the moment.
Real Madrid have followed he situation with great deal of interest and now according to Marca, Los Blancos are willing to offer up to €100million to sign Courtois next summer. The sum would make Courtois the most expansive goal keeper in the history of football.
Real Madrid are not entirely convinced with Keylor Navas as their number one stopper and want someone as assuring as Courtois in goal before the start of next season.
Madrid’s plans of signing David De Gea have been put to rest as Manchester United are not willing to let their man leave Old Trafford, regardless of the money being offered.
Suddenly Chelsea find themselves in the same situation where Man United were last season. The Red Devils somehow managed to keep hold of De Gea, but will Chelsea be able to fend off a stronger interest from The Spanish giants?
