Premier League’s status of being the best league in Europe is still up for a debate, however, no one can question the level of excitement and thrill fans get from the most followed league in world football.
One aspect that makes Premier League a must-follow is the level of thrilling wingers. With players like Alexis Sanchez, Riyad Mahrez, Anthony Martial and Eden Hazard keep people off their seats and guarantee excitement. But there is no hard in adding some more thrill, is it?
On that note, we take a look at the top-5 potential wingers who could make a move to England next season and light up the Premier League.
5. Yannick Ferreira Carrasco (Atletico Madrid)
Atletico Madrid have left everyone speechless this season with their defensive determination and attacking displays. Much of their brilliance going forward is down to the speed and creativity of Belgian International Yannick Ferreira Carrasco.
Carrasco has been included for the upcoming Euro 2016 and will be one of the top summer targets for Premier League teams. Predominantly playing from the left hand side, Carrasco can be a good fit for teams who rely on their wingers to create chances and set up the forward players.
Prospective Clubs: Leicester City, Liverpool, Manchester United
4. Yacine Brahimi (FC Porto)
Ask any Chelsea fans and they must still be dreading over Brahimi’s dangerous runs and goals against The Blues in this season’s Champions League. Brahimi managed 9 goals and 6 goals this season in Portugal, and it is about time for him to make a Premier League move next season.
Brahimi’s pace and trickery makes him one of the most feared players in European circuit. He will indeed command a huge fee but will be worth the expense given his exploits on the ball.
Prospective Clubs: Leicester City, Liverpool, Arsenal
3. Juan Cuadrado (Chelsea/Juventus)
Technically Juan Cuadrado is still contracted to Chelsea football club, but he spent most of the 2015/16 season out on loan to Juventus. The Colombian International is however expected to return to Stamford Bridge with Antonio Conte’s arrival at the club.
Having seen Cuadrado’s performances this season (71 take-ons, 4 goals, 5 assists, 39 key passes), Conte would be delighted to have Cuadrado playing from the right hand side while Eden Hazard from the left.
2. Marco Reus (Borussia Dortmund)
When it comes to mixing style with personality on the pitch, there aren’t many better than Marco Reus. The 26-years old attacker has seen his former Dortmund teammates (Gotze, Lewandowski, Hummels) join Bayern Munich in recent seasons.
Perhaps now is the time for him to make a move and accept the Premier League challenge. At present, only Liverpool have a definite say in signing him due to the presence of Jurgen Klopp. On his day, Reus is as good as they come and Premier League fans can only be excited with the prospects of seeing him play in England.
