Not sure about being the best league in European Football, but Premier League is certainly the most exciting one and large part of the reason is the prolific bunch of strikers gracing the top tier of English Football.

Likes of Sergio Aguero, Harry Kane, Wayne Rooney, Diego Costa, Jamie Vardy and Romelu Lukaku are setting the benchmark week after week. However, according to reports, these players are set for massive competition next season with some of the best strikers from European football set to arrive in Premier League.

Based on the recent rumours, we decided to dig a little further and look at the top five strikers who can raise the bar in Premier League ahead of the 2016/17 season.

5. Alvaro Morata (Juventus)

Although Real Madrid have the first option of re-signing the Spaniard but Arsenal and Manchester United are pushing hard for his signature. According to the trusted Gianluca Di Marzio, Premier League giants have initiated talks to bring the £35million rated striker to England, who is expected to command a salary of close to £155k-a-week.

Prospective Clubs: Arsenal, Manchester United

4. Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang (Dortmund)

This player can literally breeze past any defense in European Football. Aubameyang is seen as the ideal signing for Manchester United but the club are still holding back on the deal given Louis Van Gaal’s presence at Old Trafford.

Aubameyang scored 25 league goals for Dortmund last season and can indeed lift the standards of Premier League goal-scoring. The Gabon International will easily command a fee of £50-60million, if he is to sign for a new club. Watch out for his acrobatic celebrations as well.

Prospective Clubs: Manchester United

3. Antoine Griezmann (Atletico Madrid)

Atletico Madrid forward is one of the most completer strikers in the modern game. He is equally adapt at playing in behind the striker as he is in leading the line for his team. His goal-scoring is impeccable and can add a great deal of potency to any side’s attack going forward.

Prospective Clubs: Manchester United, Chelsea

2. Gonzalo Higuain (Napoli)

On form, Gonzalo Higuain is perhaps the most lethal striker in Europe right now. He broke Serie A’s all-time goal scoring record in a single season after scoring 36 league goals this season for Napoli.

Higuain is desperate to make a move to Premier League and has even asked his club to lower his £74million release clause to £47million. All the leading English clubs have been linked with a move for Higuain and we could see the Argentine hitman play in Premier League next season.

Prospective Clubs: Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea,

1. Zlatan Ibrahimovic (PSG)

Do I need to say anything more? Zlatan Ibrahimovic is available on a free transfer and Manchester United are desperate to sign him next season. AC Milan and Louis Van Gaal are the only two roadblocks in making this deal go through.

If Zlatan joins United, it could end up being one of the best transfers in Premier League history.

Zlatan is an enigmatic striker who feeds on playing in the big games and at the grandest stage of European football. He can lift a stadium in an instance and his goal scoring prowess are second to none.
