With 6 weeks remaining in season’s finale, all eyes were on Leicester and Tottenham in their race for title this season. The Foxes managed to score their fifth 1-0 win in last 6 games, while Tottenham were held to a 1-1 draw by Liverpool. Elsewhere Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United and Norwich registered vital wins.
As for the standout individual displays from Gameweek 32, it came from Martin Olsson who struck a 90th minute winning goal against Newcastle United. Elsewhere Kevin De Bruyne announced his return from injury in the best way possible.
Premier League team of the week for Gameweek 32
Goalkeeper – There should not be even a debate about Ben Foster’s place in our Premier League team of the week for Gameweek 32 after the West Brom keeper single handedly kept out Sunderland to earn a vital point for his team. Foster made 5 outstanding saves in the game.
Defense – If Leicester do go on to win the title there will not be any better man to lift the trophy than Wes Morgan. Foxes skipper has been their best player this season and once again came up with vital goods when his team needed it the most.
Daley Blind had an excellent night against Romelu Lukaku when nobody gave him a chance. Blind kept Lukaku in check with his intelligent reading of the game. Elsewhere Martin Olsson was the hero for Norwich when he scored a 90th minute winning goal for Norwich.
Midfield – N’Golo Kante becomes an even more important player for Leicester when they are defending a lead and once again Kante delivered a stellar performance to earn a vital 1-0 win for his team against Southampton.
Partnering Kante in our Premier League team of the week for Gameweek 32 is Tottenham’s big-match player Moussa Dembele. The Belgian powerhouse stopped Liverpool from walking away with the win after a bright display at Anfield.
Attack – Although Kevin De Bruyne played only 57 minutes this weekend for City, but the impact he had on his side was remarkable and for that he is in our Premier League team of the week for Gameweek 32.
Dimitri Payet has been a regular feature in this season’s team of the week and once again the Frenchman leads this week’s attack after a fine display and another stunning free kick goal.
Liverpool look a better team when Philippe Coutinho plays in his zone and against Spurs, he was certainly at his best. His goal in the second half was only bettered by an unreal Harry Kane’s finish.
Speaking of finishes, Anthony Martial kept Manchester United’s top 4 hopes alive this season with the winning goal vs. Everton and completes our Premier League team of the week for Gameweek 32.
