Premier League Team of the Week for Gameweek 36

Leicester City’s unbelievable title triumph is still making noise all over the world, however, like every other week we bring to you the best 11 players from Premier League’s weekend action. It is time to pick our Premier League team of the week for Gameweek 36.

To be honest, Gameweek 36 lacked individual brilliance as none of the teams except Southampton gave eye-catchy performances. Their 4-2 win against Manchester City was the most unexpected result of the weekend which saw Leicester crowned as the Champions.

As for the best player from Gameweek 36, it had to be Sadio Mane after scoring a brilliant hat-trick against Man City. Chelsea’s Eden Hazard looked at his best once again as well after a spirited second half performance against Tottenham.

Premier League team of the week for Gameweek 36Defense: We have become accustomed to see Wes Morgan leading Leicester’s defense and this week as well, he led from the front by scoring the crucial equalizer against Manchester United to earn a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford.

Newcastle United rescued a vital 1-0 win against Crystal Palace and it was largely down to Jack Darlow’s inspiring display against The Eagles. Darlow made three stunning saves including Yohan Cabaye’s penalty save on the 70th minute to keep Newcastle’s hopes alive of surviving this season’s relegation.

Midfield: West Ham rightly run the show here after Mark Noble and Cheikhou Kouyaté scored in West Ham’s 3-0 win over West Brom. The win keeps West Ham’s top-4 dreams alive for now with Man United and Man City dropping points this week.

Wrapping up the midfield for our Premier League team of the week for Gameweek 36 are Southampton’s Dusan Tadic and Swansea City’s Jack Cork. The duo played key roles in their teams’ impressive wins, albeit against weakened teams who were focused on European matters more than the league.

Attack: Eden Hazard came on the pitch against Tottenham in the second half and completely changed the game. His assist and the goal was enough to put down Tottenham and help Leicester win their first ever league title in their 132-years history.

Sadio Mane rightly features in our Premier League team of the week for Gameweek 36 after scoring a wonderful hat-trick against Manchester City. Andres Townsend with his stunning free-kick goal against Palace wraps up our Premier League team of the week for Gameweek 36, who may have earned the most crucial points in Newcastle’s season.
