Premier League Team of the Week for Gameweek 34

After every round of Premier League matches, we bring to you the best 11 players from the weekend in our Premier League Team of the week feature. Next up, we take a look at Premier League team of the week for Gameweek 34.

Premier League Gameweek 34 witnessed Leicester slip-up in the title race after a long time as they played a 2-2 draw against West Ham. Tottenham responded with a stunning 4-0 win on a cold Monday night against Stoke.

Top-4 race saw Manchester City pull away with 3-0 demolition of Chelsea while Arsenal slipped up yet again after their 1-1 draw vs Crystal Palace. Manchester United’s 1-0 win made Aston Villa’s relegation official.

On the back of some praise-worthy individual performances, we take a look at Premier League team of the week for Gameweek 34 featuring brilliance from Harry Kane, Sergio Aguero and Dele Alli.

Premier League team of the week – Gameweek 34

Defense: Heurelho Gomes became the first man to stop 2 penalty kicks in a game for second time in Premier League history when he denied Saido Berahino twice from the spot over the weekend.

Manchester City displayed a commanding defensive performance vs. Chelsea with Nicolas Otamendi leading the way for the Citizens. Partnering him in our Premier League team of the week for Gameweek 34 is Newcastle United star Jamaal Lascelles, who scored a crucial goal for his team’s bid to avoid relegation.

Midfield: Moussa Dembele was Tottenham’s midfield enforcer as he bulldozed his way past Stoke’s defense on numerous occasions. Joining him in our EPL team of the week for Gameweek 34 are fellow Spurs stars Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli.

Eriksen managed 2 assists on the night while Alli scored twice and was involved in every Spurs goal on the night.

Attack: Kevin De Bruyne has been in sensational form since returning from injury. He was among assists once more as he brought down his former side Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

The main reason for us to go with a 3-4-1-2 formation was to accommodate the brilliance of Harry Kane, Sergio Aguero and Jermaine Defoe in our Premier League team of the week for Gameweek 34.

Kane scored twice vs. Stoke, Aguero scored a hat-trick vs Chelsea while Defoe scored one and assisted the other in Sunderland’s 3-0 win over Norwich in the most important game of the season for Black Cats.

It would have been unfair, had we left any one of those forwards out from our Premier League team of the week for Gameweek 34.
