Elsewhere, Leicester and Tottenham continued their push for the title as they won their matches in typical fashion. While Leicester scored a brilliant worked goal and held on to the lead vs. Crystal Palace, Spurs played beautiful football to score three goals against Bournemouth.

Arsenal earned a much needed win to keep their slim hopes alive of a Premier League title this season, meanwhile Southampton produced the performance of the weekend with a 3-2 comeback vs. Liverpool after being 2-0 down at half time.

On the wake of all these results, we now take a look at our Premier League team of the week for Gameweek 31.

Going with our trusted back three, Chris Smalling and Wes Morgan find a place in this week’s Premier League team of the week with stellar performances. Both Smalling and Morgan were rocks for their teams as they lead Leicester and Manchester United to vital away wins this weekend.

Morgan Schneiderlin is the obvious choice in our Premier League team of the week for Gameweek 31 after the Man United man dominated Manchester City at The Etihad. Cesc Fabregas with his two late goals in each halves earns a place in our team of the week.

If Fabregas’ goals earned his side a point, Sadio Mane’s brace saw Southampton conquer Liverpool in an emphatic manner. Mane was sent at half time to turn the game and so he did with this week’s most emphatic performance and finding a spot in our Premier League team of the week for Gameweek 31.

Upfront, Harry Kane has been a sensation for Tottenham throughout the season and he took his tally to 21 goals after scoring a brace against Bournemouth this weekend. Joining Kane in our Premier League team of the week for Gameweek 31 is a young Marcus Rashford, who has made a habit of scoring in important games for Manchester United.

Wrapping up our Premier League team of the week for Gameweek 31 sees two stars of the season Riyad Mahrez and Dele Alli once again being the key men in their team’s victory over the weekend. Mahrez scored the winning goal for Leicester, while Alli set up another goal for his strike partner Harry kane.
