After every round of Premier League games, we bring to you the best XI from the weekend in our Premier League Team of the week section. Next up, we take a look at Premier League team of the week for Gameweek 27.
Old Trafford was the center of attention after Gameweek 27 when Manchester United’s kids managed to halt Arsenal’s title charge. Young Marcus Rashford was at his destructive best by scoring 2 goals in space of 2 minutes, and that too on his debut.
Tottenham and Leicester continued their push for the Premier League title with late wins. Other notable performance of the week came from Swansea stopper Lukasz Fabianksi, who gave his all in stopping Spurs, but was undone by a late Danny Rose strike.

Defense – There was no one getting in goal for our Premier League team of the week for Gameweek 27 other than Swansea’s Lukasz Fabianksi. He made 14 saves, but could not do anything for that one strike from Danny Rose, which sealed the game for Spurs.
Daley Blind has been a major reason for United to have safely negated this unreal injury phase. His calmness over the ball allows Van Gaal’s side to play out from the back and keep a control in the game. Partnering Blind in our Premier League team of the week for Gameweek 27 is Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic.
The Serbian came up with a late winner against Southampton, however, more than the goal, it was his performance that caught the eye. Having been written off earlier in the season, Ivanovic has come back to life since Guus Hiddink has taken over.
Midfield – Leicester’s unsung hero Danny Drinkwater was at his very best yet again against Norwich and never allowed the Hornets to get a grip in the game. The fact that Claudio Ranieri switched his tactics thrice in the game, tells us a lot about Drinkwater’s ability to adapt to different game plans in an instance.

Marko Arnautovic had not been scoring goals in recent weeks, but he very well knew the route to Aston Villa’s goal with two crucial goal for Stoke. The win puts them back in contention for European places and Arnautovic will be a key man in that race.
Nacer Chadli reminded all Spurs fans as to how valuable he is to Mauricio Pochettino’s side. Having knocked at Swansea’s door time and time again, it was Chadli who broke the deadlock and allowed a late Tottenham push for the victory. His strong performance see him feature in our Premier League team of the week for Gameweek 27.
Attack – Young Marcus Rashford is making a mockery of professional football by scoring for fun in his first two matches. Manchester United fans are still in shock to see their 18-year old striker score 2 goals against Arsenal on his EPL debut.
Connor Wickham was another striker who scored a brace over the weekend, but his goals wet in vain as West Brom managed to snatch a 3-2 win away from Crystal Palace. Wickham joins Rashford and other deserved men in our Premier League team of the week for Gameweek 27.
