EPL Gameweek 32 – Predicted Newcastle United lineup vs Norwich (3-5-2)

Newcastle United’s bid to avoid relegation this season has been made even harder by the number of injuries they have had to suffer this season. At present, The Magpies have 11 players out injured with most recent one being second choice goal-keeper Rob Elliot.

Next up for Newcastle awaits a massive relegation 6-pointer battle against Norwich which will have a huge say in whether Rafa Benitez manages to keep The Toons in Premier League or not. Ahead of the kick-off at Carrow Road, we take a look at the Predicted Newcastle lineup vs. Norwich.

Predicted Newcastle lineup vs. Norwich

It will be a big day for Karl Darlow, who will make his Premier League bout with Newcastle in absence of Tim Krul and Rob Elliot. With the duo ruled out for rest of the season, the highly rated Darlow will be asked to carry Newcastle’s defense in the remaining 7 matches of the season.

Benitez might have to revert to a 3-men defense amid the number of growing injuries and Jack Colback’s suspension. Rafa will have to use Steven Taylor, Chancel Mbemba and Jamaal Lascelles as they are the only available defensive options for The Magpies.

Now this is where a Newcastle fan would get excited as Benitez has the liberty of picking 5 highly skilled players who can decide the outcome of a football game. Andres Townsend and Moussa Sissoko would look to dazzle from the wings while the likes of Jonjo Shelvey and Cheick Tiote will give Newcastle’s midfield a much needed stability.

Papiss Cisse has to find his goal-scoring touch this weekend to pull Newcastle out of the troubles and the men supporting him will be Ayoze Perez and Georginio Wijnaldum.
