England kick off their Euro 2016 campaign later today with a Group B encounter against Russia. With a good blend of young players, Three Lions have been tipped as one of the most exciting teams to watch out for at the Euros this summer.

As expected, there is a lot of competition for places and it will not be easy for Roy Hodgson to leave out players when he picks his starting XI later tonight. Ahead of the kick-off at Stade Vélodrome, we take a look at the Predicted England lineup vs Russia.

Predicted England lineup vs Russia

Roy Hodgson’s ideal scenario would be to go with a 4-2-3-1 system where he will have the luxury of picking a tenacious Eric Dier and crafty Dele Alli in central midfield.

Defense looks solid on paper with Chris Smalling being the main man, who will be supported by Gary Cahill, Danny Rose and Kyle Walker.

Harry Kane is the obvious choice to lead the line for Three Lions against Russia but the three players behind him will be the matter of debate.

Adam Lallana is perhaps the most consistent of the three players we have selected in our Predicted England lineup vs Russia, however, Raheem Sterling’s pace and Wayne Rooney’s vision will be key for the men in white.

As ever, England look a solid unit on paper but we will know a lot about their chances, ambition and most important the ability to go far at Euro 2016, which has been tipped as the tournament where they finally prove their mettle on the International stage.
