Paul Pogba’s proposed move to Manchester United has dragged far too long for everyone’s liking, especially the Manchester United fans. They have been waiting and waiting to see their former star make a heroic return to Old Trafford.

However, given the money involved in this deal I am hardly surprised to see teams take this long to reach a mutual agreement over player’s transfer. According to the trusted Gianluca Di Marzio, Juventus are adamant of extracting €110million (£92m) for Pogba which looks even more likely now.

As per the latest reports, we could see Pogba dawn the red of Manchester United in next 48 hours after undergoing his medical in Miami. Many believe Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola is delaying the deal after asking for his fee which is believed to be near €20m.

However, Football Italia have revealed that Raiola would be paid only €10-12m and it will be spread over the time period of 12 months. Given Pogba’s abilities on the ball and what he can bring to United’s less than compact midfield, this sum may turn out to be a brilliant investment from the club.

Pogba’s global appeal and connect with Manchester United fans is at an all-time high right now. It would not be a surprise for me to see him feature in the top-5 list of the highest shirt sales next season.

If that is the case, then Pogba would eventually end up recouping the sum United have decided to invest on him. However, despite these glaring possibilities United fans are rather worried about Real Madrid swooping in at the last moment.

Pogba has previously expressed his desires of playing for Zinedine Zidane’s Real Madrid and till date prefers Los Blancos as his first choice club.

Having said that, Di Marzio has reiterated time and time again of a personal agreement between Pogba and Manchester United which is enough for the deal to finalized.

The only difficult part was Raiola’s fee which in fact has been agreed and it is only matter of time before Pogba is back at his old club where he made a name and a rebellious reputation for himself.

All Manchester United fans need right now is to be patient and they will see the French midfielder arrive at their club in style in next 48 hours. The deal is certain to be completed in next few days.

Jose Mourinho rarely loses on his transfer targets and I expect the same in Pogba’s case as well which could sort out United’s midfield for many seasons to follow.
