According to a report by the Scottish Sun, Hibernian manager and former Celtic man Neil Lennon have confirmed it is possible John McGinn sign a new deal at Easter Road.
The midfielder’s contract with the Hibbees is running into its final year this summer and is being linked away with a move on the regular.
Celtic is also interested in the Scot, and so what former Celtic midfielder has to say about his current one is, of course, a thing of interest to the Hoops.
Here’s what he said:
“We’ve been talking to John for quite a while.
“Nothing is forthcoming, but never say never.”
McGinn is a decent player with lots of talent – though he could be a squad player for Celtic to start with at least.
Lennon still seems to think there might be a chance he recommits to a new deal at Hibs, but that is not a certainty and I think he’ll be departing the club sooner rather than later.
