Arsenal confederations cup winning defender Shrodran Mustafi is back after national team engagement with Germany where he played and won the Confederations cup in Italy.
Mustafi was at the Emirates to watch his team mates lift the Emirates cup on Sunday. He tweeted “1st day back at the club… and it feels great. Soon heading to the Emirates to support my teammates”
He will be partaking in the training on Monday. Arsenal will be preparing for the new season as they play Chelsea in the community shield on August 6th at Wembley stadium.
Mustafi return to training means that he will be in contention for a place in the starting eleven on Sunday for the match against Chelsea. The German joined Arsenal from Valencia last summer and has had an impressive start to life in England.
Arsenal are playing Leicester City in the opening game of the 2017/18 premier league on the 11th of August.
Arsenal have already acquired the services of two new signings, Saed Kolasanic and Alexandre Lacazette this summer and are hoping of adding more before the close of the transfer window. Mustafi will be meeting his new team mates at the London Colney training ground today.
