Arsenal new signing Alexandre Lacazette will be hoping of playing in front of the Arsenal fans when the season starts. His first chance to do that will be in the Emirates cup today.
Arsenal will play Benfica in the Emirates cup and Wenger will be starting his new striker in the match. Lacazette joined Arsenal from French side Lyon in a record £53m deal which is Arsenal’s highest ever transfer fee.
The 27-years-old striker featured in Arsenal’s China tour and played in the games against Bayern Munich and Chelsea in the International Champions Cup where Arsenal won and lost respectively.
As the season draws nearer, he will want to lead the gunners back to their glory old days. Arsenal will be playing in the Europa league in the coming season and Lacazette is very familiar with it after leading Lyon to the semifinal of the competition last season.
Lacazette can boost of a good goal scoring record with 100 goals in 203 appearances for Lyon and the French international have been capped for the national team 11 times scoring once. Lacazette can only wish to get better at Arsenal under one of the best coaches in the world.
