Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney says he will be expecting the Motherwell team to give them a difficult time in the Scottish Cup final coming in May.
Well defeated rivals Aberdeen in a 3-0 victory during the weekend Semi-finals with Celtic achieving a feet one goal higher in the weekends 4-0 win against Rangers.
The mid-table club have been drawn with the Bhoys twice this season losing both encounter with the giants, including the League Cup final where they lost in a 2-0 match.
Tierney speaking via BBC: “Motherwell are a good team – they always make it hard for us, they know what they are good at, they have some good players as well. So we will be looking forward to the game.”
The Brendan Rodgers team will be facing Hibernian in an away game to which will give them the chance to clench through their seventh Scots League title in three consecutive seasons and domestic trebles.
The left back continued: “That’s the aim,”
“We have Hibs next weekend, so a couple of days recovery and back in training as hard as ever.
“[A second treble] would be a great achievement. It has never been done before and that is for a reason. We know it is going to be very hard.
“We still have a few tough games coming up so it is just one game at a time as always.”
The team were alrealdy two goals up before the half time whistle, with goals from Tom Rogic and Callum McGregor. Into the second half were two fouls were committed in the box in favour of the Bhoys and Moussa Dembele and Olivier Ntcham adding goals from the penalty area.
It is brilliant,” added Tierney. “I know what it means to every Celtic fan out there.
“I thought we dealt with the pressure brilliantly. We made it a bit more comfortable for ourselves.
“We battled hard then we got the ball down and played football and that’s what we do best.
“And if we play our game, hopefully we can go on and win the remaining games.”
The victory against arch-rivals conserved Rodgers’ record against Rangers having won eight games and drawing two matches since his arrival at the Celtic Park in the summer of 2016.
