Ligue 1 side Lyon have submitted an offer for Dutch winger Memphis Depay, according to the trusted source of RMC.
RMC claims that Lyon want to sign Memphis on a permanent basis and are weighing an offer in the region of €12million.
Although the offered price is €4-5million below United’s valuation, but clubs are holding concrete talks to push the transfer through.
The 22-year old’s advisor is in direct negotiations with Lyon about a potential salary agreement, with the Ligue 1 side prepared and willing to match Depay’s financial demands.
According to Lyon sources, they accept that this deal will be difficult to pull off, but not impossible.
Best case scenario for Man United
After getting rid of Morgan Schneiderlin for more than reasonable price of £22million, United fans are now patiently waiting for Memphis Depay’s exit from the club which will allow the club to bring in new players either in January or next summer.
Given Depay’s recent run of form or game time, anything close to €17million will be a great deal for the Red Devils and they should not even think twice before letting go of their current number 7.
