Memphis Depay to leave in January after European giant submits a £15m bid

Memphis Depay’s troubled stint at Manchester United could soon come to an end after reports from The Mirror have confirmed that Turkish giants Galatasaray have submitted a £15million bid for the Dutch winger.

Memphis is expected to be on the move in January, with Jose Mourinho having handed him just 12 minutes of Premier League football this season.

It remains to be seen how far below the £25m they paid PSV Eindhoven for Depay the Red Devils are prepared to go, with it possible that an initial loan move will be sanctioned that either includes the option to buy at a higher price, or allows the 22-year-old to rebuild his confidence and return to England ready to challenge for a starting berth.

Chances of Memphis leaving United in January – 3.5/5

Biggest reason for United’s Memphis experiment to be brought to an end is his lack of impact on games when bring brought on by Jose Mourinho. He rarely completes a dribble, his crossing does not reach his own players and his shots are often way off the target.
