Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian has eased off the speculations surrounding his Old Trafford exit next summer.
According to Bild, Bayern Munich are heavily interested in buying the player when Carlo Ancelotti takes over net season.
However, the Italy International star denies any such rumours and assured fans of his stay at the club despite a poor first season.
Speaking in an interview, Darmian said: “I am happy with the team, the staff and the city, so I just try to ignore the rumours.
“To return after a hamstring injury is not easy. Sometimes it affects you mentally. But now I feel good. I want to play like I did at the beginning of the season and that is what I’m trying to do.
“I think the manager is happy with my progress and when I train I try to improve day by day.”
It is believed that Darmian’s hamstring injury had sent initial fears to United’s management, however, his progress has slowly eased his exit stories.
Former Torino man has established himself as a key player for Manchester United by playing on full-back (RB/LB) positions with a great deal of ease.
