Juventus are still assessing the right options to sign as Paul Pogba’s replacement this summer. According to Daily Mail, the man topping Juve’s list is Chelsea star Nemanja Matic.
Daily Mail claims that Matic will make his move to Turin in a reported £17m deal and is waiting for Pogba’s deal to be announced officially.
According to Di Marzio, Pogba will be a United player in coming weeks after Juventus have agreed to sell the Frenchman for €120m with Pogba getting €13m-per-year in salary.
The only part remaining in the deal is the €18m agent fee which has to be paid to Mino Raiola in coming weeks. It has led Juventus to accept a defeat in keeping hold of Pogba and rather focus on bringing an able replacement.
If Matic’s deal were to fail, Juventus have also been linked with a move for either Ivan Rakitic, Axel Witsel or Marcelo Brozovic.
What has changed in last 2-3 weeks?
The news of Matic joining Juventus was covered by us couple of weeks ago where Chelsea were reluctant in selling their midfield man as they were yet to sign his replacement.
Since then N’Golo Kante has arrived at Stamford Bridge and growing feeling inside the club is that Antonio Conte will complete another midfield signing in coming weeks.
It must give Juventus plenty of hopes of signing Matic and as for Manchester United fans, Pogba’s transfer could finally be completed after an almost month long negotiation.
