Club CEO – This top class manager has rejected Chelsea and will target their best players next season

Chelsea have been pushed back in their pursuit to sign Massimiliano Allegri as their next manager after Juventus CEO Giuseppe Marotta has confirmed that Allegri is already in talks with the club to sign a contract extension.

Allegri has been a revelation at Turin since taking over from Antonio Conte. Under Allgeri, Juve achieved a domestic double and reached to the Champions League final last season.

Juventus are on course of doing the same, as they lead Serie A by a point from Napoli and will play Bayern Munich in the Champions League round of 16 tie later tonight. Allegri’s exploits had alarmed Chelsea and the English club were keen to sign the Italian. However, Marotta has squashed any such rumors.

Speaking with La Domenica Sportiva, Marotta said: “The conditions for Allegri’s contract renewal are all there,”

“Allegri has done very well. The cycle has just started with him and I believe we can continue with him.

“On top of that, finding a club better than Juventus isn’t easy. I think that he can still get great pleasure from this team, thus there is no Allegri problem.”

Allegri wants Oscar next season

These comments have all but killed Chelsea’s hopes of bringing Allegri to premier League next season. Instead, the Blues have been linked with Allegri’s Italian counterpart Antonio Conte next summer.

Add to that, Starsport has claimed that Juventus are targeting Oscar as their marquee summer signing next season. Allegri has previously expressed his interest in signing the Brazilian playmaker, however, no deal could be reached between the two teams.

Juventus could deliver another blow to Chelsea by keeping hold of Paul Pogba. The Blues have been heavily linked with a move for the Frenchman, but Juve are prepared to offer him a better deal and fend off any interest from the Premier League club.
