Manchester United are growing confident of signing AS Monaco starlet Bernardo Silva, who has set Ligue 1 on fire this season.
Having made his move from Benfica, Silva has caught the eye of Manchester United and Juventus, who are planing a move for the 21-year old playmaker.
According to reports from Tuttosport, Manchester United have edged out Juventus and are negotiating on the price to sign Bernardo Silva next season. The 21-year old playmaker has managed five goals and an assist in 17 league appearances for the club this season.
Tuttosport understands that Anthony Martial has spoken highly of his former teammate which has got United interested in the player. Both Martial and Silva played together at Monaco and were very successful.
Silva is highly rated by his country Portugal as well after being capped six times already. Silva is expected to feature in Portugal’s Euro 2016 squad and have a huge impact.
Mindful of his talents, United have wasted little time in negotiating a deal now rather than waiting for the summer.
Monaco have demanded £16million for the player which Man United will be happy to pay given the possibilities of this fee rising high post the Euro 2016.
United have been unsure of whom to play in the number 10 role this season thus signing a specialist like Bernardo Silva could be the right move by The Red Devils.
