Manchester United have made their desires to sign Paul Pogba pretty clear after enquiring about the Frenchman’s availability this summer, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
According to the Italian Transfer Guru, United will need to pay something in the region of €120million to sign their former midfield star. However, the Red Devils are willing to include Matteo Darmian’s swap to sweeten Pogba’s deal.
Darmian, 24 arrived at Old Trafford last season with high hopes after an eye-catchy display at FIFA World Cup 2014. Back then, United beat Juventus to sign Darmian, however, the Italian is yet to adjust to Premier League’s demands.
The player prefers a move back to Italy and according to The Times, Manchester United are ready to sell Darmian after just 12 months if it helps them sign Pogba.
Serie A Champions are expected to sign Miralem Pjanic in coming weeks and will target Andre Gomes, which has signaled towards their indication to let go off Pogba now as several teams are chasing the French International.
Real Madrid and Barcelona are willing to offer close to €100million to sign Pogba, however, United are keen to use any player at their disposal to convince Juventus in selling the 22-year old star to them before anyone else.
According to Independent, Jose Mourinho has made Paul Pogba his priority signing as he wants to build a strong spine at Manchester United.
The Red Devils are expected to wait until the Euro 2016 gets over to decide on their midfield transfer targets, if Pogba decides to snub them and join either of the La Lia giants.
