Manchester United are speeding up the process of signing Felipe Anderson in January after Guardian reported a meeting between player’s agent and United officials.
According to Guardian, the meeting took place in London last night with official bid to be made in next 48 hours.
According to Italian transfer Guru Gianluca Di Marzio, the meeting did end on positive note after Manchester United offered to double Anderson’s current wages.
As it turns out, Lazio are keen to sell Anderson in January as well. Lazio’s President did open up to the idea earlier this month once a team meets his asking price of £35milion.
United are desperate to sign an attacking player this month and Felipe Anderson has been seen as the most viable option.
The Brazilian has expressed his desires to quit Serie A in favor of a move to Premier League. However, only Manchester United have expressed any real desire to sign him this winter.
Thus The Red Devils face no competition to sign the gifted 23-year old winger. It is down to United and Lazio to work out on the transfer fee and we could see the player arrive at Old Trafford sometime next week.
