Manchester United official Jorge Alvial has come out stating his nature of his work he does for Jose Mourinho. The Special One joined United earlier this season and has impressed everyone with the shrewd transfer signings.
Paul Pogba, Eric Bailly, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic all have contributed to United’s impressive displays from time to time this season. While Zlatan and Pogba were marquee names, much credit has been given to Mourinho’s team for spotting a talent like Eric Bailly.
That is what Alvial highlighted in his interview with EMOL, where he revealed that his key job is to look for elite players who are aged between 17 and 24.
Alvial said: “My work consists in finding an elite player for the first team in the Americas. We, scouts, always notify the club’s chief scouts, and we also have meetings with Mourinho. The age range we look for is between 17 and 24, unless we see a Pelé, Maradona, Messi, Ronaldo or Cruyff.”
Mourinho is eager to sign at least 1 defender (preferably a full-back) and a goal-scoring striker to continue the recent run of good results for the club. United player their next game against Crystal Palace later tonight with hope of cutting down the gap at the top of Premier League table.
