Manchester United not bothered by the £83m valuation, deadly attacker is still Mourinho’s priority

Manchester United are still interested in signing Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann this summer despite his increased buy-out clause of £83million, as per the latest reports.

French striker striker signed a new deal last week extending his La Liga stay until 2021. However, that has not put off Jose Mourinho as he looks to bring in big-name players to kick start his Old Trafford reign.

According to reports from Mirror (via El Confidencial), United will launch a massive offer for the French International if Atletico Madrid decide to cash-in on the player.

United camp are convinced that Griezmann’s new deal is just a way for Atletico to command a higher fee for the player and if that is the case then Jose Mourinho has earmarked the 25-year old as his key attacking option.

Griezmann managed 32 goals and 7 assists last season to lead Atletico to a Champions League final spot and has been in superb form at the Euros. Griezmann scored a brace in France’s round of 16 clash as they came from behind to beat Ireland 2-1.
