Hull City have agreed a deal with Manchester United to sign the highly rated striker Will Keane on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee. The Tigers confirmed Keane’s signing on their official twitter account moments ago.

Keane becomes the latest youngster to quit Old Trafford since Jose Mourinho’s arrival at the club. Keane follows the likes of Cameron Borthwick Jackson, Andreas Pereira and Paddy McNair to have been sold or loaned away from Manchester United.

According to reports from Sky Sports, interim Hull manager Mick Phelan knows Will Keane very well from their time together at Man United and wanted to bring him to KC Stadium at all cost.

Despite the strong start to their season, Hull are a club in turmoil with Phelan unsure over his role at the club and the impending takeover has restricted their ability to spend in the ongoing summer transfer window.

Given the circumstances, Hull City are delighted to welcome Will Keane at the club who on his day can be one of the finest young strikers in English football. He can be a more than decent back-up option to Abel Hernandez which might just save Hull from going straight back to Championship.
