Manchester United are winning the race to sign Borussia Dortmund attacker Henrikh Mkhitaryan, according to reports from the Transfer Guru Gianluca Di Marzio.
Di Marzio has reported that United have offered €25million for the Armenian international star but Dortmund are holding out on a fee of €40m or above.
Despite the delay, United are confident of tying a deal for the 29-year old star as he is eager to quit Signal Iduna Park this summer with Old Trafford being his preferred destination.
As per the reports from ESPN, Mkhitaryan’s agent Mino Raiola has come out to address his client’s proposed move to Premier League and has said that not considering Manchester United’s offer would be a sin.

Raiola knows that Dortmund are trying to stop the deal from taking place but is hopeful of a mid way resolution to be reached in coming weeks.
Speaking with BBC Sports, Raiola said: “It would be a sin to stop talking. I am a positive guy, if I wasn’t confident of reaching some kind of conclusion, I wouldn’t try.
“I am very proud Manchester United want him and the talks are being held in a good atmosphere, but at the moment Dortmund are still saying no.”
Raiola also confirmed United’s €25million bid and is doing his bit to ensure Manchester United end up signing Mkhitaryan ahead of Arsenal, who are also in the transfer race to bring the deadly winger to Premier League.
As for Dortmund, they have turned to former Chelsea star Andre Schurrle as the viable replacement for Mkhitaryan once he leaves the club this summer.
Schurrle joined Wolfsburg last summer but has failed to cement his place in the starting XI. Given his direct playing style, he could become a real star while playing for Dortmund next season.
