Premier League leaders, Manchester City will travel to Basel for a crunch fixture against the Swiss giant in the first league of the round of 16 Champions League.
Pep Guadiola and his team have to be wary of Basel as they stunned their city rivals, Manchester United in the group stage of this season Champions League 1-0, so he will have to be extra ready for this.
Pep’s team over the years have also not have an impeccable record away from home in the knock out stages of the champions league. He will hope to change that this time around.
Goalkeeper
Ederson has been the number one shot stopper and has kept Bravo on the bench. He is expected to be in goal on Tuesday.
Defender
The back four of the Citizen have have almost constant faces. Kyle Walker and Fabian Delph have been in good form keeping the full back positions and adding to the attack. The partnerships between Otamendi and John Stones have been one of the best in the league so far. They have conceded the fewest goals so far in the league. They will have to continue that form at the St. Jacob stadium.
Midfielder
Pep Guadiola have load of options to pick in this department. Fenandinho will however have the nod in the base of the team. He captains the team now in the absence of Kompany and Yaya Toure. David Silva and Kelvin De Bruyne have been out of this world with their performance this season and are expected to start in Switzerland.
Attackers
Since the injury to Leroy Sane, Benardo Silva have taken his place on the left flank interchanging with Raheem Sterling who starts on the right. Both are expected to start and support the in-form Sergio Aguero who is going to lead the line.
