Manchester United target Alvaro Morata has been spotted at training with Real Madrid ahead of their pre-season tour of the United States. He joined Real Madrid for the pre-season when a deal about his move away has not materialized.
He has been heavily linked with a move to United but the demand of Real Madrid in the excess of €70m has put United off to look elsewhere. This has made United to go all out for Lukaku and he joined early enough to be part of their pre-season tour.
The odds of United now signing a second big-money striker looks thin with the acquisition of Lukaku. There are still speculations that Zlatan Ibrahimovic could return to the club after recovering faster than expected from his injury.
Morata likely destination, if he will still leave Real Madrid this summer is Chelsea or AC Milan with the two clubs in search of a striker. United going to get Morata does not make any sense after they have acquire a Premier league suited striker in Lukaku.
Getting him means one has to stay on the beach, something that chased Morata out of Real’s team.
United have so far done a good job in the transfer market buying Lukaku and Linderlof to fit into the position which they desperately need. A defensive midfielder might still be heading towards Old Trafford before the close of the transfer window.
